About Me

I am a professionally qualified counsellor and cognitive behaviour therapist. I am a registered member of The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, working ethically to their framework. My aim is to provide a quality therapeutic service.

I have over 25 years nursing experience working in the field of adult mental health. I have worked within NHS, charity and private settings. As a person centred staff nurse I worked with adults who had complex physical and/or mental health needs. Later in my nursing career I worked with dementia. I have extensive experience caring for and supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, epilepsy, dementia, mental illness, terminal illness and end of life care.

I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and I have a holistic and intuitive approach to the way I work.

I am able to work on both a short and long term basis according to your preference and needs.

I offer a confidential and professional service but one which is also creative and holistic to your individual and unique needs.

As well as my own private practice I have also worked voluntary for RASA (Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre)  and Age UK Wirral.
